Journi is a free, interactive, online learning experience that empowers Year 5 & 6 students to make better road safety choices, featuring gamified learning activities and an engaging, graphic novel style that is suitable for a variety of classroom environments.
With graphic-novel inspired animations, appealing, inclusive characters and a playful tone-of-voice, it’s designed to make road safety education fun, relatable and, most importantly, memorable.
What makes Journi different
Learning about road safety doesn’t have to be boring. Designed in consultation with Queensland teachers and educators, Journi uses storytelling and humour to communicate key road safety concepts alongside interactive games and quizzes to keep kids engaged.
Developed in collaboration with teachers, Journi is adaptable to suit different classroom dynamics, ability levels and a range of devices, with both teacher-led and student-led options available.
Content is aligned to the Years 5 and 6 Australian Curriculum V9, and has been created in consultation with road safety experts from the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF).
Each of the four digital learning modules comes ready to roll with a full suite of lesson plans, teacher resources and student worksheets - making it easy to integrate into any program of study.
Journi will be rolling out across Queensland schools in early 2025. Drop us a line to register your interest.
The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads has partnered with Type + Pixel and the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) to create Journi, an interactive online education program to teach primary school children about road safety attitudes and behaviours.
